New Vintage

I know so many people who really embrace or have embraced the vintage look which was floating around a few seasons ago. However, I also know a lot of people who love the idea of vintage but cannot stand the concept of wearing old clothes. I guess that is exactly what my inspiration is at the moment. As I am typing, I am wearing this gorgeous Anna Sui floral chiffon dress in a brilliant shade of pale vermillion along with some stockings and some round toed pumps and I feel very good because I have managed to look very vintage without the whole ‘old clothes-which-date-back-to-my-great-grandmother’ appeal, not that there is anything wrong with that at all. So for those out there who love this look, it all comes down to the style and the prints which make a piece look vintage without the previous history yet genuinely a designer vintage product. And I have to say, that there is nothing worse than the horrible term “vintage-inspired”.
