Nicole Richie's lawyer was in court in LA this morning to request a trial postponement. Richie's DUI trial is set for tomorrow, but her lawyer filed a motion requesting a continuance until August 5. Her reasoning? The defense's expert witness, a nationally recognized expert on drug testing, is reportedly unable to testify until the August date. Richie herself was not in court, but was seen boarding a plane to Calgary, Canada, where boyfriend Joel Madden has a gig tonight.
